We are currently recruiting for an experienced and fully qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our Hexham team afternoon shift

Afternoon Shift – 2.30pm to 11.00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and fully qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our Hexham team. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, your key responsibilities will be to carry out preventive maintenance, fault finding and modification work on our Shredder and mobile equipment. To be successful in this position you will have gained previous experience in a steel or heavy production environment within a similar role.

You will have a current forklift, EWP and working at heights ticket as well as any skills in welding and oxy cutting to be an advantage. Any additional tickets operating heavy vehicles or a dogman’s ticket would also be highly valued at this busy site. You will be expected to work with conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics therefore experience in this area will help you succeed in this role. It is essential that you have a strong commitment to safety and best practice as you will actively participate in safe systems of work including safety audits and Permit to Work Systems.
