Apprentice Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaker) Tradesperson – City of Lake Macquarie

minimum school certificate with satisfactory record of
school achievement including maths and english;

  • basic understanding of metalwork trade and demonstrated
    interest in a career in this field;
  • relevant work experience or studied relevant subjects at
    school;
  • ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a team
    environment;
  • commitment to providing quality service to customers;
  • sound numeracy and literacy skills;
  • minimum of class c provisional licence;
  • current work cover construction induction card (white
    card);
  • interest and commitment to undertake Certificate III
    Engineering – Fabrication Trade qualification;
  • able to satisfy basic manual handling and physical
    requirements of the role.
  • What you’ll do:

    • balanced working environment of workshop and on-site;
    • undertake Council’s welding and fabrication
      needs;
    • maintenance of Council’s plant and equipment
      including breakdowns that arise both in the workshop and
      on-site;.
    • undertake other tasks such as basic plumbing, roofing,
      sheet metal work, fencing, gate repairs and installation,
      digging holes and concreting.
    • learn Work, Health and Safety (WHS) principles;
    • be part of a busy team environment striving to meet
      evolving customer needs and expectations.

    Salar y up to: $33,600 per
    annum plus superannuation

    You are not eligible to apply if;

    • you are not an Australian citizen, New Zealand Citizen or
      humanitarian visa holder
    • you are under 15 years of age
    • you do not reside in NSW
