The apprenticeship

Undertaking an apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage while learning your trade and will set you up for a successful, rewarding, and long-lasting career.

You will be trained in all aspects of boiler making while completing a Vocational qualification at Certificate level to become fully qualified. Boilermakers are highly employable and skilled at producing metal fabricated products such as structures, frames, plate assemblies, pipe-work and vessels using tools, welding and thermal cutting equipment and fabrication techniques.

You will also gain certifications as required such as a White Card (general construction induction card) and Elevated Work Platform tickets.

You will:
Hold an open driver license and have reliable transport;

Pride yourself on being on time, every time and ready to get stuck into the job at hand;

Have an interest in “how things work” or demonstrated mechanical aptitude;

Be ready to take on challenging physical work in a sometimes demanding environment;

Have good comprehension of English and math, and a safety first attitude.
