Bin Replacement Officer

Have you been looking for the

contributing to the maintenance of one of Council’s essential
services? The Waste Operations section at Lake Macquarie City
Council is looking for a committed individual with excellent
organisational and time management skills to deliver, repair and
tag bins as part of the mobile bin replacement
function.

Bin Replacement Officer

This position within the
Waste, Environment and Rangers Department is responsible for
various functions including; the delivery and repair of damaged
mobile garbage bins, installation of public litter bins and stands,
and the collection of dead animals from public places. This is a
varied position that will see you utilising your excellent customer
service skills, computer skills and experience in small plant and
equipment such as plastic welding machines.

This position will:

  • Investigate and action
    inquiries received from residents in relation to damaged mobile
    garbage bins and apply Council’s Mobile Bin Replacement
    and Repair Policy
  • Repair, deliver and
    install bins and bin stands for parks, street litter and
    commercial applications
  • Collect damaged bins from
    premises and deliver to Councils depot for storage and
    recycling
  • Maintain commercial and
    additional domestic bins tagging and data base
    systems
  • Collection from public
    places of dead animals on Council roads, reserves and parks, or
    as reasonably requested by the Waste Operations Coordinator,
    Manager Waste Environment Rangers and Group Manager
    Operations or Council’s after hours
    service.

You will have:

  • Current Class MR Drivers
    Licence
  • Demonstrated ability to
    be self-motivated, perform duties in a reliable and
    enthusiastic manner, working autonomously as an
    individual
  • Experience in the use of
    computer systems including Word, Excel, and
    Outlook
  • Demonstrated commitment
    to providing a high level of customer
    service
  • Experience in the use of
    small plant and equipment such as plastic welding
    machines

Salary: $50,051 –
$53,883 per annum plus superannuation
