School Based Engineer Apprentice – Manufacturing Industries Group Apprenticeship Scheme (MIGAS)

Are you interested in completing a school-based traineeship in Engineering? MIGAS is seeking a school student enrolling in Year 11 for 2017 who wants to work for a company based in Cardiff 1 day per week and also attend TAFE 1 day per week completing Certificate II in Engineering whilst completing their HSC.The hours of work will be on a set week day to suit school timetable with public transport located nearby.The duties of this role include learning all aspects of the engineering trade, assisting and learning from tradesmen, Following instructions, Working on Mills, Drilling grinding, Learning all aspects of CNC, assembling components, operating milling machinery and welding light fabrication. The successful applicant will be dealing with components for the mining industry including drill bits, drive adaptors and bottling equipment.The successful applicant will be honest, possess a positive attitude, attend and pass TAFE, follow all WHS policies and procedures, be reliable, hardworking and have a strong desire to learn the engineering trade If you wish to apply select the apply now button below.
